Monday:
Why not start each week with a boost to your vitality, courtesy of Tai Chi sessions for beginners and intermediates. These take place in the hall every Monday morning at 10am and cost either £6.50 per session on the day, or £60 for 10 lessons if paid in advance. There is a maximum of 12 people in each group, and the first session is free for new starters. Each session will include warm up exercises, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi form exercise, which, if practised regularly, can improve muscle control and mobility, and also relieve stress and muscle tension. Tai Chi sessions are now also held on Monday evenings from 7.15 to 8.15pm.
Dixie Belles line dancing classes are held in the Hall on Monday lunchtimes. Beginners classes are between 12-1pm, and improvers from 1pm to 2pm. The first Monday in every month sees a meeting of the Yapton and Ford Local History Group starting at 7.30pm. Did you know that Yapton dates from the 11th century and Ford from the 12th century? Tuesday:
Tuesdays at 10am sees the hall used by Jane Sadler Fitness. Jane runs a Pilates class. The cost is £6.00 per session. Pilates is a form of body conditioning which encourages correct alignment and ease of movement. Its aims are to lengthen and strengthen the muscles and mobilise joints through gentle exercise. Yapton Short Mat Bowling Club meet every Tuesday from 5.45 pm to 8.45 pm in the Main Hall. (This session is for more experienced Bowlers.) There is a membership fee of £15 per year, and a charge of £3 per session for "Green Fee" which covers expenses.

The third Tuesday of every month at 10am sees a meeting of the Yapton Village Women's Institute. The women's institute promotes friendship and offers social activities for all women regardless of age, creed, colour, with no political or religious affiliation. Wednesday:
On Wednesday mornings between 10.30am and 12 noon the hall is used by Yapton and Ford Village Community Group which is an ideal place for people of all ages to get together for a friendly chat over tea or coffee.
WeightWatchers run sessions on Wednesday afternoon/evening between 3.30 and 8.30 in the main hall. Just come along and join our friendly group to learn about healthy nutrition, and develop a personalised plan specially for you.
Yapton Cottage Gardeners Society meet at the hall periodically on Wednesday evenings. The society has its roots at the end of the 19th century with their first show being held in 1890. The aims of the society are to encourage their members to further their interest and enjoyment in matters horticultural. Several times during the year the village is lucky enough to host some spectacular displays on the green and in the hall. Thursday:
Thursday evenings we have an intermediate line dance club, Dixie Belles, between 19.30 to 21.30 - for further details call Jenny Bembridge on 01243 585298. Full details can be found at www.dixiebelles.co.uk A beginners/improvers class is held on Mondays at the hall between 12-1pm (beginners), 1pm to 2pm (improvers)
Friday:
Yapton Short Mat Bowling Club holds sessions between 2pm and 5pm each Friday, at which beginners are welcome. See "Tuesday" for details.
Saturday:

Sunday:
Sunday sees the main hall used by the Yapton Free Church, and also a children's worship will be held in the Clubroom. See the church's website for more details www.yaptonfreechurch.net.
