The Janet Phillips Hall is the largest of the three halls that we have for hire. This has a large, fully equipped, kitchen attached, with access into the hall via a serving hatch. The kitchen and bar attached to the hall was subjected to a complete overhaul at significant cost in early 2011 and now boasts catering facilities that any chef would be proud to work in.

The hall also has a stage facility, modern sound system, and can accommodate 150 people at tables, or 300 in close-seating format. We can supply crockery and cutlery at no extra charge. In fact, for weddings we have crockery and cutlery sufficient for a large number of guests, and whereas other halls may make a charge for the use of such things, we have a policy that this should be available to our hirers for use free of charge.

As you would expect from a modern venue, we have wheelchair access into the hall, disabled toilets and hearing loop.

The pictures below show the hall in use in a number of different formats - firstly, set out for a wedding reception, then for a live music performance, and finally for a collector's event.

Please note the use of the Bar is subject to a small additional charge. If you are planning an event and wish to charge for alcoholic drinks, then you will need to ask for permission when you make your booking (so we can comply with alcohol licensing rules).

The Club Room has extended views out over the playing fields, and can cater for 100 guests. Tables and chairs can be provided at no additional cost, and the Club Room has its own private entrance separate to the main hall. Designed with ease of use in mind, this room has its own separate toilet facilities and a small kitchen area attached to it. This room is ideal for family events, smaller wedding receptions, or for clubs to hold meetings or talks.

The Club Room is quite often booked by groups offering children's activities, as it is a more compact environment than the Janet Phillips hall, and it's therefore easier to see where everyone is at a glance!

The Small Hall is an ideal meeting room, or would make a suitable venue for smaller parties. The room has its own small kitchen integral to it, and like all of our rooms for hire, has its own doors to the outside of the venue meaning that your guests don't have to wander through other peoples events on their way to yours!

Up to 50 people can be accommodated in our Small Hall, and tables and chairs, crockery etc can all be provided at no additional charge should these be required.
